We are constantly looking out for well qualified orthotists and prosthetists to join our existing talented team. We are passionate about the difference bespoke orthotics can make to people’s lives and search the world for the latest innovations in design and technology.
Our headquarter’s clinic in Kingston upon Thames incorporates a video vector gait laboratory and we have our own manufacturing unit on the first floor.
In addition, we have formed a unique partnership with Elaine Owen MBE, the world-renowned physiotherapist, and run monthly OSKAR (Optimal Segmental Kinematic Alignment approach to Rehabilitation) clinics with her. OSKAR provides a comprehensive method for the assessment, prescription and fine-tuning of lower limb orthoses.
We are looking for candidates with the relevant professional qualifications but we also want people who have the drive and ambition to want to be the best in their field and help LOC to continue to deliver an exceptional level of care to our patients. You should not be afraid of pushing yourself, learning new techniques and embracing new technologies as they come on stream.
Apart from positions at our headquarter’s clinic, there may be opportunities at our Bristol and Manchester clinics. We will consider applications from anywhere in the world - we are an equal opportunity employer.

After 10 years of daily physiotherapy and swimming, not to mention SDR, hamstring and tendon lengthening, we have finally achieved independent walking – it was a mother’s day gift that would take some beating.
Since his new orthoses, his change has been remarkable. He is more mobile and can walk independently. Jason is now walking indoors and outdoors and is unrestricted. He is now properly enjoying the summer sunshine for the first time in a few years with no complaints of pain.
Amelia was always looking for something to hold on to, now she runs around. Sam really puts in that extra effort to make the clients happy. I’d recommend LOC because they have all the equipment and extremely professional staff who have been trained by world-renowned physiotherapist Elaine Owen.
I finally found that I had arrived at the right place and something was actually being done.
My pain levels are hugely improved, my ribs were tender and now they are not. My brace was made individually for me. It’s not one size fits all and, if it is not completely perfect, LOC alters it on the spot. I was so surprised that I could wear the brace under my clothes, I did not need to go and buy anything, I just wear loose tops.
If you say something is going to be easy it will be easy and if you say something will be hard it will be hard. So, I'm just going to say that wearing my brace is easy. And as it turns out, it really is.
I had my brace fitted and I was also given a personalised exercise programme to help with my 3D rotation. Not only was I wearing this new brace but I still had my pectus brace on and the amazing orthotists managed to combine the two so they worked together. I really struggled with this at first; however, I kept going and now I’m really glad I did. My scoliosis overcorrected by 10 degrees and I was able to reduce my scoliosis brace wear to 16 hours a day within 6 weeks.
Debs and Sally are fantastic. I mean, they’ve become like family now. They are extraordinary people and do such good work with these kids, both of them, it’s fantastic. The whole experience has been very good. They make you feel welcome from the beginning, and you can ask as many questions as you want, and they answer everything. If you have a problem they give you their personal mobile so you can just call them if you have a problem and they’ll solve it straight away. I’m very pleased with the treatment, the people, with everything.
Obviously, the results speak for themselves. I would definitely credit LOC, but if I were to give any advice [to parents in a similar position] it would be to contact Debs and Sally. Ricarda likes it there, she loves the people like Debs and Sally and felt really comfortable, everything was really relaxed and nice. She worked really hard during training with Debs who kept saying that Ricarda was such a workhorse!
He’s been very positive since the first day and this determination has certainly paid off. In just two months, Rares’s Cobb angle has reduced from 52֯ to 24֯ in a brace and his ribcage has de-rotated from 18֯ to 12֯, so the rib hump has significantly improved.
At the start of the treatment, Saeed told us that we could expect the cephalic ratio to reduce by nine or ten points at most. In fact, it has reduced by 109 to 94. That’s a reduction of 15 points which is more than any of us hoped for. And his asymmetry has reduced from 10mm to just 1mm. We were so happy with the results that we felt it was a natural breakpoint for him and we were advised that the treatment is less effective the older a child is.
Thank you again for taking care of Amrit's flat head. We are very pleased with the results. Attached are some pics of our visits to the clinic which we thought you may want to keep and use to show others the painless process for the baby.
Currently, I am wearing my pectus brace for 12-14 hours a day and I am very happy with the results of my treatment. I am very grateful to all the amazing people at LOC and I want to thank them for helping me so much. In the year and a half since my treatment started, I have come so far and I am incredibly happy with the results and I am incredibly happy that I persevered.
Where possible we provide orthotic treatments for specific conditions that are backed by published and peer-reviewed evidence.
Our team of experienced and highly qualified clinicians combine professionalism with a very high level of personal clinical care for their patients.
LOC manufactures the majority of the orthotics it fits itself. We do not have to rely on outside suppliers, so we are able to exercise exacting quality control.
We provide objective measurements pre and post-treatment to provide evidence of the successful outcome of the treatment provided.
