Rib flaring is when the ribs stick outward and change the shape of the chest. It is very often associated with pectus excavatum and pectus carinatum.
While not all cases of rib flare require treatment, especially if they are not causing any symptoms or functional limitations, we understand that how you look can have a big impact on how you feel.
We’ve pioneered the use of the rib flaring brace in the UK, based on the success of our non-surgical chest bracing treatment for pectus carinatum. We designed a specific rib flaring brace that applies pressure to the lower edge of the rib cage and gently moves them back into a corrective position over time.
This bespoke brace uses corrective foam pads designed to fit over the ribs according to the patient’s measurements.
A discreet, streamlined fit makes the brace less noticeable under clothing. Making it easier to wear and helping you feel more confident during treatment.
Our new design uses lighter-weight aluminium bars, making it easier to wear, carry about, and integrate into your daily life.
Fabric straps make it easy to put the brace on and take it off quickly and by yourself.
The new fastening system allows you to tighten the brace more easily should you wish. This allows you to increase or decrease the pressure depending on your comfort levels.
The brace’s soft, removable foam pads are easy to clean and swap out during treatment. This means we can increase the pressure points and optimise the brace as your chest shape responds to treatment.
