The Solution

The Proprioceptive Therapy

solutions

Movement and the ability to maintain an upright posture result from voluntary and involuntary contraction and relaxation of our muscles. Muscles maintaining our posture are involuntary and regulated by the stimulation of sensory nerve cells called proprioceptors. The proprioceptors constantly send signals to the central nervous system to maintain balance and posture through all types of movement.

Proprioceptors are found in various locations in the body, such as; the inner ear, the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. They are very sensitive to stimulation and have an effect on muscle tension.

The ability to walk, stand, run, as well as the ability to balance in an upright posture would be impossible, without the existence of these proprioceptor sensory cells.

Vabene Therapy takes advantage of these mechanisms by stimulating the proprioceptors in the soles of the feet to improve posture. Muscle tension is influenced and a step-by-step improvement of posture is achieved - with the following effects:

  • Alleviation of posture related pain
  • Reduction in muscle tension
  • Prevention of chronic postural damage
  • Improvement in posture

By optimising your posture, performance can be improved in everyday life, work and sport (In golf, for example).
