The Scanner

The Diers Formetric II plus is the worldwide leading system for optical 3D measurement of the back surface and spine. It is unique to Vabene in the UK.

It allows us to evaluate the effect of the Neuromuscular Proprioceptive Insoles (NPI) on your posture immediately. It gives repeatable objective measurements.

Diers Formetric II

The 3D measurement system formetric II is a special development for fast, contactless, and radiation-free static measurement of the back surface and spine.

It offers a 3D analysis of the back surface, spinal form, and visualizes an unique 3D-reconstruction of the surface and spine.

Objective clinical parameters, describing scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis, spinal rotation and other clinical relevant parameters are calculated with a very high degree of accuracy, and may be used in diagnosis, screening studies, physiotherapy, rehabilitation and other clinical applications.

Diers and Vabene

Influencing muscular tension in the spine causes small changes in posture. These changes can be felt by the client during the therapy but documenting the changes is only possible with the spinal scan. The scanner provides the only objective method of assessing the effect of Vabene safely and with repeatability. It is possible to provide reports if requested.

Please note: The spinal scan requires partial undressing to allow the scanner to measure your posture. If clients feel uncomfortable with this, treatment can proceed without the scan.
