The Method
The Complete Holistic Approach
The Vabene Therapy includes the following:
A comprehensive individual consultation with a fully qualified Vabene practitioner
An in-depth holistic assessment of your posture indentifying problem areas.
1. Visual assessment and initial 3D spinal scan
Following a detailed history, your posture is assessed visually to identify areas of body asymmetry. A 3D surface spinal scan is then taken, this gives a very accurate set of measurements and aids the diagnosis of and problems areas and posture type.
Please note: The spinal scan requires partial undressing to allow the scanner to measure your posture. If clients feel uncomfortable with this, treatment can proceed without the scan.
2. Pelvic Alignment
At the heart of Vabene Therapy is the correction and control of pelvic malalignment.
It is essential at this stage to record any asymmetry at the pelvis. Vabene is unique in its approach to pelvic stability and can therefore work well in conjunction with other therapies.
3. Areas of muscular tension
Poor posture manifests itself with areas of high muscular tension. These areas cause the pain and tension felt for example after sitting at a computer for long periods.
The areas of tension are identified and Vabene therapy aims to reduce these with the patient feeling the effects immediately.
4. Spinal contour measurement
The contour of the spine gives further information regarding the posture type. This helps prescription and also allows us to assess the effectiveness of the treatment over time.
5. Prescription and proceptor placement
Vabene uses a range of different shapes and combinations of proceptors. They are positioned precisely under the foot to have the desired effect; reducing muscular tension, improving overall posture and most importantly alleviating pain and symptoms.
A digital scan is then taken of the bottom of the feet to record the exact position of the proceptors.
6. Final 3-D Spinal Scan
An optional final 3D surface spinal scan is then taken to measure the outcomes of treatment and compare before and after Vabene treatment.
